About Us

Mary Barner is setting a new standard for the desire not to retire, but to refire! Her commitment to changing the mindset of how seniors think about themselves. As Founder and CEO of Barner Faith Foundation, Inc. she specializes in encouraging and assisting seniors with living their best life in every area.

 

Mary has always loved people in general; she loves helping and giving. Early in Mary’s life she developed a love for the elderly. She works hard at showing them they are loved and cared about.  Her motto is “I work hard with my heart.”

 

Mary worked in the school system for 17 years, 5 years as a Substitute Teacher and 12 years as a Paraprofessional. Mary likes to share her story that it was during her journey there, unknown to her at the time she believes GOD placed her in that arena to prepare her for her true calling, serving seniors. The revelation came when Mary began her career as a Service Coordinator in an independent living senior community. She noticed there were similarities between the seniors and the children. Then Mary came to understand the adage “once an adult, twice a child.”  A mother herself of 2 wonderful sons, enlightened by the children she served in the school system and serving seniors, developed a special place in her heart for both. Mary absolutely loves coordinating intergenerational events. Her motto for this unity is “Never too young to teach and never too old to learn.”

As a Service Coordinator Mary worked in HUD Affordable Housing. During this journey she learned a lot about this category of seniors as it relates to their thoughts, attitudes and lifestyles driven by their circumstances. In addition, Mary has gained insight into the HUD Affordable Housing Industry. The knowledge has fueled Mary to make a difference through Barner Faith Foundation, Inc. and partners.

 

Mary is also the Founder and Wholistic Wellness Coordinator of FROM VICTIM 2 VICTORY, LLC (FV2V). FV2V’s business is to encourage and empower people to live life abundantly and victoriously through education, services provided by her Team and other Partners.
